On Monday two members of Nottingham Animal Rights, publishers of the vegan guide to Nottingham, went on a bike ride to check out this new venture..
'Fat City' has only been up and running for a few weeks, and is located in a wood-insulated caravan on Trinity Farm, Asworth Lane, Cossall, Notts (NG16 2PZ).
it is 100% Vegan and uses produce from the farm which are organic and often bio-dynamic! They have a growing menu of main meals for around £3, soup, cakes, coffee etc.. and also cater for events and deliver lunches to the surrounding area.
Although we made the mistake to visit when they had a power failure and were closed (opening times are Tues-Sat 9-2pm), they made us feel very welcomed and cooked us up a lovely pasta with roasted vegetables, and apple tarts!
Although they currently have no seating area, they are looking at getting some picnic tables out on the farm, a bbq in the summer and possibly a sheltered seating area.
Its definately worth a visit, we're really happy to see new places like this crop up so go out and support them!
