Thursday, 5th March

In Petrozavodsk (Republic Karelia, Russia) animal rights activists organized a demonstration against vivisection – one of the most cruel animal-abusing industries. About 30 people took part in the action.

Activists were holding placards, banners and distributing leaflets, urging people to boycott the companies that use animal experiments. Karelian animal defenders expressed solidarity with SHAC – the international campaign against Huntingdon Life Sciences, a 'research' center that kills 500 animals a day in cruel experiments.

Recently several UK SHAC activists have been sentenced to imprisonment from 4 to 11 years. Animal rights activists in Karelia supported the repressed comrades and spoke about closing HLS.

We will also continue to fight for the innocent animals that are tortured and maimed inside HLS and all of the vivisection industry until it is no more!

Until all are free, close down HLS!
