Zoos 'consuming' elephants from the wild
 http://www.newscientist.com/article/dn16257-zoos-consuming-elephants-from-the-wild.html

This article talks about zoos and worker-elephants but the same is more true of entertainment elephants due to the unnatural stress positions they are forced to perform.

There is endless amount of scientific evidence that such abuse drastically reduces life-span for no real reason.

No scientist

Born to be free of captivity

I am horrified elephants and any other animals are being used again in circuses!

Wild animals belong in the wild, free, to live out a natural life, not one of captivity imposed on them by various ignorant, uncompassionate, vested-interest humans. The Serengetti (is spelling right?) is light years removed from incarceration in zoos, circuses! Humans evolved on this earth long after animals did! If kids want to see elephants, tigers and other exotic wild animals, they should be taught to see them on TV and/or in their country of origin habitats, not in zoos, circuses, wildlife parks!

Feb 2008, Martin Lacey owner and ringmaster of the Great British Circus, listen to him here violently and verbally attacking a BBC news reporter.

If he loses his temper this easily and is like this with people, what is he like with the animals ??

Martin Lacey is a mad man
