Heroes of law and order

Copwatcher | 27.02.2009 11:21 | Repression | Social Struggles

There's a couple of classic cop tales in the post today. The first concerns a Notts cop who accused a mechanic of stealing his sunglasses from the car he was working on and arrested and searched the poor guy before his mate found them still in the car. The other concerns two Notts police arrested over misappropriation of union funds.

Good to know that we have some heroic people keeping our communities safe as opposed to abusing their powers!

"Richard Smith, who works at MOTMax in Mansfield, said the Notts police officer could not find his sunglasses when he returned to pick up his car after testing.

It is claimed he then accused Mr Smith of stealing them and arrested him.

Mr Smith said he was held for about 40 minutes while another officer who was called to the scene searched MOTMax. The glasses were eventually found in the car."

also

"TWO Notts police staff have been arrested following a complaint about misappropriation of union funds."

This sort of incident is all too common, and even more common for anyone involved in, or even associated with anyone involved in anything political. We really should put a criminal charge on them every time, as they do with us, not just make a complaint and let them investigate themselves.
