McDonalds Campaigner in Court on Monday – Cambridge
McProtester | 27.02.2009 00:33 | Animal Liberation | Globalisation | Repression | Cambridge
Back in June 2008 an activist was arrested on a walk in protest at McDonalds. The activist is charged under Section 5 of the Public Order Act. After two trials being postponed one because of the police’s witness being ill and the other because the protester’s barrister was ill, it is finally going ahead!
The arresting officer in this case came up to the protester on a recent demo calling him ‘ignorant and arrogant’ and telling him he was ‘going to lose the case’!
When: Monday 2nd March 09
Time: 10 a.m. start!
Where: Cambridge Magistrates Court
12 St. Andrews Street,
Cambridge
See http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/regions/cambridge/2008/06/401637.html for more on the case and to see a video of the protest in question.
Come along if you can!
