British Gas punishing people trying to save the planet.

Just thought people would be interested in the news that people using less than £9 a week are being charged 54p a week by British Gas, according to the BBC.

Primarily a class issue not environmental

It has been widely reported in the mainstream media for years that prepayment meters cost more and so penalise the poorest in society. This is just a unique green spin on that and it is unjust on the woman. I feel sorrier for hundreds of thousands who can't afford to heat their homes, partly because of these meters. I don't blame the greens for that, red and green issues do overlap and the greens have recommended everyone gets an insulated home, but the BBC report is a misfocus from the main issue with these meters. Poor people pay more.
