Because of the turban and beard? The Taliban do pretty much exclusively wear turbans and beards.

And they are fighting the US invasion of Afghanistan, so the explosives fit as well.

I don't think there is any implication that all Muslims, or all Afghans are like this. That's why the person in the image has "Taliban" written on them.

The first comment is just a blatant add for a tedious blog. There is no racism in the first cartoon. It just satirically states the bleedin obvious. The Taliban (otherwise known as the Afghan Mujahadeen) will never tolerate ANY occupation of their country regardless of whether the foreign soldiers speak English or Russian.
