Camden's Oh! Bar was closed follwowing complaints made by people including those from the gay community. Gay men and women [black and white] were offended by the reggae night which wouuld regularly play songs such as Batty Rider and Boom Bye Bye. The Camden Gazette and the police [via Gazette] have siad that the venue also closed becuase of drugs and violence.

Gay activists were horrified by the openly homophobic night every Saturday. Gay men and women, in particualr those from the black community were upset by the music and the failure by the mangement and security to do anything.
Other reports state that the Saturday nights were becoming increasingly violent and that it had been "taken over by drug dealers".
Other nights at the club i.e. Drum and Bass, Soul, Hip Hop and Garage nights attracted no problems but that the Saturday night attracted a certain crowd who caused trouble and who upset customers. There were reports that women were attacked and that drugs were found on the floor.
