Work has been continuing at EcoWorks with the Straw Bale building in Nottingham. The building, now being fully enclosed with the main doors having being constructed and fitted All window frames fitted towards the end of last year..

In the last work days there, a start had been made in adding clay slip to the inside walls.

So, dear readers, if you have enjoyed watching the progress of this building being constructed ..... how about getting out from behind your computer screen, and get up to EcoWorks in the new year, and volunteer your services.

All could have been done a lot earlier, if a bunch of 'already-skilled' people had just got on with it. But, it was generally descided that by involving many volunteers, folks might go away, and having been inspired by the project, and with a bit of hands-on experience ....... have ideas and help others think about what they could do with other sustainable projects in their own areas.

Ecoworks are now working on the renovation and rebuild of an old greenhouse on Saturdays. volunteers are more than welcome. The first signs of spring are appearing now with the hazel catkins, snowdrops and crocuses so if you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the city for a day please give me a ring on 07973 116291 for more details
