BNP to march in Liverpool
j | 18.02.2009 15:20 | Liverpool
Here is a petition to ban the march http://action.hopenothate.org.uk/page/s/stophate
And of course if it goes ahead then there will be protests...
Stop the BNP 'day of action' on March 14th:
"It has become clear that the BNP intend to return to Liverpool on March 14th. They have applied for a permit to march on Church street and intend to hold a social event somewhere in the city that evening.
This is an event coordinated by the Merseyside Community organisations to show the BNP that they are not welcome in our city. We need to mobilise as many people as possible, to occupy Church Street and stop this event from taking place. Liverpool will not be divided by these vile fascist vultures.
In November Merseyside Police (who are yet to take any decisive action against officer Steve Bettley who was exposed as a BNP fascist) showed their willingness to defend the ranks of the BNP by attacking the large counter demonstration. We will not stand for this again.
In keeping with the tradition of peaceful protest, we are not suggesting that people come to this event with intention of causing violence. We aim to mobilise as many people as possible in a peaceful manner, which will prevent the BNP from organising in the city of Liverpool.
For us to succesfully drive the BNP off the streets we need as many people as possible in the streets on March 14th... so tell everyone you know!
More details regarding assembly points will be added in time."
