A former officer with the Metropolitan Police has pleaded guilty to four counts of sexual activity with a boy under the age of 16.

Mark Brigham was a serving police constable when he abused the boy in Portsmouth, Hampshire, in August 2008.

The 37-year-old, from Hackney, east London, was suspended pending the outcome of the case but resigned on 10 October last year.

Brigham will be sentenced at Portsmouth Crown Court on 9 March.
