United Nations Association Media Peace Award ( 2006) winner
documentary by David O'Shea- SBS Australian TV.
David O'Shea travelled to the Basque Country and studied the roots of
the conflict. He listened to torture allegations and the UN damaging
reports, questioning the democratic credentials of the Spanish State.

Saleh Mamon
Saleh Mamon is a human rights activist supporting the work of CAMPACC
(Campaign Against Criminalising Communities). He is also engaged in
campaigning against the occupation of Iraq and Palestine. His
commentaries have been published in Labour Briefing. He has been the
chair of Sutton Race Equality Council and Sutton of Peace and Justice.
His paper on BME children has been published in Race and Class.

Our aims are:
1. To promote initiatives supporting the right to self-determination
for the Basque People,
2. To organise periodical events to lobby UK political groups and
grass-root organisations in favour of a fresh peace process and a
democratic solution to the conflict,
3. To provide information about the Basque Country
4. To question the democratic credentials of the Spanish and French
Governments for their constant abuse and repression of the Basque
pro-independence movement.
