The ELF Press Office is endorsed by two previous ELF press officers (who recieved anonymous communiques and refused to cooperate with the state/officials), as well as No Compromise and Bite Back Magazine, the latter also recieve anonymous communqiues. You should probably read Burning Rage of a Dying Planet and Earth Liberation Front: 1997-2002, books released by previous press office, who both vocally support the actions, as did the press office itself, obviously. ELF spokespersons being agent provocateurs defines the strategy of provocateurs who try and destroy social movements.

Finally, the entire point of anonymous communiques is that they are untraceable - so even if the press office was infiltrated, they still wouldn't be able to track down the ELF activists. The clue is in the name "anonymous" communiques, those without a traceable sender.

As for the anti-ELF website you suggested, poor choice. Poor, poor choice.

...if you don't want a spokesperson for your action, as is common from anti-authoritarians and eco-anarchists, simply send your anonymous communique to  http://directaction.info

Your communique will be released, as it is, with no spokespersons talking for you. So if you want a spokesperson, send it to the press office, if not, then send it to Bite Back.

To anyone interested, ELF actions of late (Mexico, Sweden, Australia & UK) have been sent to Bite Back, rather than the ELF press office. The ELF has evolved quite a bit, similar to the ALF, who's activists also rarely use press offices but rather Bite Back as well.

AFAIK, this used to be a genuine website, but whoever ran it let the domain name registration lapse and it was taken over by squatters.

You can see a lot of environmentalist sites still link to it, not realising it is no longer valid.

Much as I liked the Kafkaesque moniker, I stopped using it because too many other people were using the same name: in particular, I was being confused with someone on a totally different site expressing opinions that I didn't want to be associated with.

Not that I have any problems whatsoever with the previous posting, it's just not mine! Nice to know there are a few other fans of giant bugs and the great Mr K :0)
