If Jesus was born today ?

27/12/08.
In protest against Israel's barbaric treatment towards Palestinian's, a group held a nativity play in a main square in Bilbao, the largest city of Pais Vasco (Basque Country).

On the same day the Israeli army launched their 'December 27th offensive' in response to Hamas rockets, which have claimed the lives of thirteen Israeli's.

1,300 Palestinians, including 400 children were killed in the offensive.

On Valentines day, 14th February 2009, a convoy leaves London for Palestine bringing much needed aid. Visit  http://www.vivapalestina.org/home.htm to find out more and donate.

Guernica, the site of the horrific aerial attacks by German and Italian fascists on April 27, 1937 is only 16 miles east of Bilbao.

Basque separatists at the play

The guy with the brunette wig on is holding a placard that says "Askatasuna", which is the name of a Basque separatist organisation taken recently to court for its links with the nationalist armed organisation ETA, these are Basque nationalists in solidarity with Palestine.
