maria gallestegui continues her hunger strike for the people of gaza in freezing conditions and snow on the pavement opposite westminster.

monday is her 22nd day without food

on tuesday she will exercise her socpa right to protest outside number 10 (behind the security gates in downing street) as the cabinet once again arrive for their weekly meeting

her vigil for gaza is still socpa-authorised for up to 20,000 people to protest 24/7 outside parliament, so your support is welcome and won't lead to arrest or report

maria is demanding:
1. an end to the blockade
2. an end of arms sales to Israel
3. an international tribunal to investigate Israel's war crimes

if you have time, contact the media and ask again why this hunger strike doesn't make it to the news bulletins

Support team?

I'm sorry if everyone knew about this except me, but this is the first I've heard about the hunger strike. I wonder if she has a good support team who have been pulling out all the stops to make this news from the very start? No offence, but for this to work, she needed that in place to begin with. She must be so weak and cold, and very very brave. I feel for her and will do what I can to spread the word.

I eat my words most humbly, having had a good read of Maria's website. I see that it's me that's been slow on the uptake.
