Independent Film Night in Southampton

Subvert The City Arts Collective are putting on their 1st evening of independent films in Southampton on Sunday 1st February at the Hobbit Pub from 7 - 10pm.
Starting at 7pm downstairs at the Hobbit Pub, Bevois Valley, Southampton we will be screening two films:
ON THE VERGE - The Smash Edo Campaign Film, In 2004 a group of Brighton peace campaigners making a racket outside their local arms manufacturers EDO MBM in disgust of their part in the Iraq war. This has grown into the Smash EDO campaign and has tested the right to protest in the UK.
TAKING LIBERTIES - The shocking truth about the erosion of our fundamental civil liberties by Tony Blair’s government is exposed in this film by Chris Atkins.
Entry is by donation with all proceeds going towards aid for victims of the recent onslaught of violence in Gaza.
Please come along, get involved, show your support and hopefully make this the 1st of many. Cheap vegan snacks also available!!
