Transition Forest Fields will be planting cider trees and Wassailing them on Sunday the 25th at 7.30 at the Lion

Transition Forest Fields will be planting cider apple trees in the beer garden of the Lion Inn in Basford this Sunday evening at 7.30.
We are planning to plant 4 cider trees and wassail them as we do it. We have music by members of Wholesome Fish and we're hoping to make this an annual event. In a few years time customers of the pub will be able to enjoy the blossom, enjoy the juice and hopefully enjoy the cider from the trees. We plan to start at 7.30
Our wassail is on the same night as Burns night and there will be a traditional Scottish meal of haggis neats and tatties available from 6pm followed by Five go Off playing Celtic and English music.
What better way to spend a Sunday evening!!

Hopefully other Transition groups in Nottingham can plant cider trees and have productive beer gardens too!
See you there?
