Final Update: Online Sit In Against HLS
none | 23.01.2009 03:52 | SHAC | Animal Liberation | South Coast
Well, unfortunately some entity is very intent on not having the global sit in against HLS happen. Some of you may have noticed in addition to our web space being taken down, now our 5 or 6 file storage sites have been taken down too, with in a period of 48 of them being posted on the net. This has just made the people behind this action stronger and more dedicated to making this action a success.
For those of you that know how to use TOR, configure your browser to use TOR and then go to this URL: http://utovvyhaflle76gh.onion/sTORage/sitin.html to download the file to run in your browser, without Tor, that is. If you don't know what Tor is, check it out: http://www.torproject.org/
For those of you that are filing sharing pirates and know how to use Bittorrent, download this torrent file: http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/4666902/sitin.html.4666902.TPB.torrent and download the torrent!!!! For those of you that don't know what Bittorrent is/ those of you that are using a public computer, follow these directions.:
1. Go to: http://www.bitlet.org/.
2. In the open space, put in his URL: http://torrents.thepiratebay.org/4666902/sitin.html.4666902.TPB.torrent
3. Click download torrent and open the .html file in your browser.
We didn't want to have to resort to this because it's a lot more complicated for computer illiterate folk, but it is very unlikely that they will be able to prevent the action now.
What is that you may ask??!!?? Going around to all the public computers in town and running the .html file so we can SHUT THE FUCKERS DOWN!!!
****This action is dedicated to Heather Nicholson who is one of the SHAC defendants in the UK who received the highest sentence of 11 years.****

Original Call To Action
Monday, January 26, you are invited to join us on an Electronic Sit In against HLS collaborators. We will be targeting the website of HLS's auditors RMSBG and since on the 26th it is the day of action against HLS customer, Bayer, we are targeting the website of one of their biggest products, aspirin.com.
This is the way it works. You set your browser to a certain page that continuously loads images on the target website. Our hope is if enough people do this, we will effectively deny legitimate users access to the website by tying up the websites bandwidth. About two months ago, it appears we succeeded in doing this. About halfway into the day the website was taken down and a message saying the website was down was replaced.
Then a couple weeks later there was a call to another
action but the website that was hosting our script to reload the images was taken down, most likely by the people we were targeting.
