Brighton Starbucks fight goes on

The Starbucks saga in Brighton continues! The council served an enforcement notice requiring the coffee chain to take out their tables and chairs and operate as a shop to comply with their permitted permission of (A1) use. Starbucks predictably has appealed the notice and so the saga continues.
Demos are still happening weekly outside the neon front of SB on St James St 12-2pm and on Saturday Feb 7, Green MEP Caroline Lucas will be showing her support of the campaign and sharing her wise words on the impact of Starbucks - homogenisation of the high street, profits staying in the community and why it really is just so important to protect independent, local traders.
