Activists found guilty of 'conspiracy with persons unknown to blackmail' Huntingdon Life Sciences (HLS) were today sentenced to terms from 4 to 11 years.
Daniel Wadham - 5 years
Daniel Amos 4 years
Gerrah Selby - 4 years
Heather Nicholson - 11years
Gregg Avery 9 years
Natasha Avery - 9 years
Gavin Medd-Hall - 8 years
Heather, Gerrah, Dan and Gavin were found guilty after the 3 1/2 month trial at Winchester Crown Court.
Gregg, Natasha and Dan, perhaps lacking faith in a fair trail, had admitted the charge and hence had a third deducted. In the case of Gregg and Natasha, they would otherwise have received 13.5 years!

"It is one thing to condemn direct action which may be illegal. It is quite another to cherry pick certain causes (and) condone direct action whilst condemning others or using the same tactics" - the charges of 'Hypocrisy, Terrorism and Extremism' often quoted by the media, or by those gullible enough to believe what they read are countered:

Friday 27th Feb - SHAC City Shakedown
This is a protest in the heart of London and at the heart of animal abuse. Without the trading of Huntingdon Life Sciences' stocks and shares, and without shareholders, HLS would cease to exist. Please start booking time off work and write this important date into your diaries!
