Newcastle Gaza Demos
Gaza Solidarity | 20.01.2009 13:08 | Palestine
Tuesday 7.00pm. David Shaw lecture theatre at Newcastle University. Presentation by Palestinian doctors about the situation in Gaza (with a focus on the clinical aspect; what it's like in hospitals and what the medical staff have gone/are going through with the latest war; NOT suitable for children).
Wednesday 1.00pm. Room 110, Ellison Building, Northumbria University. Discussion on the crisis in Gaza with Rhona Smith (Professor of Human Rights) and Matt Perry (Reader in history) and others. All welcome.
Thursday, 6.00-8.00pm. Marks & Spencer (Northumberland Street, Newcastle). Picket with a screening of images from Gaza.
(FRFI/RCG are organising pickets of M&S. They should be targeting Starbucks instead since M&S are not owned by Zionists any more. Does anyone know of a source of currently accurate information on which food supply chains are currently controlled by Zionists?)
Friday. 6.30pm. South Tyneside College, St. George's Avenue,South Shields. Protest the Labour Party Constituency annual dinner party, organised by the South Tyneside Stop the War Coalition and the Tyneside Palestine Solidarity Campaign, and supported by the North East Shop Stewards' Network. All welcome. Bring your banners!
