Take it down

Putting pictures of this up is just helping the police.
Take them down, and think before you hand over better coverage then CCTV will ever give to the police.

Let the police try to get me!

20.01.2009 11:02

I was one of the people who kicked in the window of Starbucks on Shaftsbury Avenue, but I don't think that the police stand a hope in hell of ever catching me, why? Because I am now back in my home country of Iran! Iran stands by Gaza and the Palestinian people!

How gullible are you?

Given that many of those who've been smashing up Starbucks are making claims about it that are provably untrue, it's hard to have any support for this.

This Indymedia posting below, for example, is a repeat of hoax letter. It was probably supposed to a satire, but some of the gullible morons who've smashed up Starbucks seem to believe it's real.

I hate to cite Spiked for anything, given they are part of a genuine conspiracy (LM / IoI which Monbiot and others have written about). But there's more truth in the article below than in the claims that, say, Starbucks has been directly funding the Israeli military.

Bad idea!

20.01.2009 15:53

It's obviously good to block out the faces but the police will just match the clothes of the people shown in these photos with their own pics from the FIT teams. Why make the cops task easier? We don't need to see these kind of pics here. A broken window is good enough!

Blocking people's faces is essential

20.01.2009 23:53

but I've discovered by using MS Paint I can simply cut people's face out of photographs making it next to impossible for the police to identify people no matter how many algorythims they have.

Starbucks-Israel link is a hoax

21.01.2009 13:45

Why are Starbucks outlets being targeted by anti-Israel proptestors? The Israel-Starbucks connection is a myth. The Schultz letter that claimed that drinking Starbucks coffee supported Israel is a hoax. It orignated as a spoof from an Australian activist iirc. Starbucks do not fund Israel. These attacks on Starbuks premises are wholly irrational and wantonly destructive. They serve no purpose.

re: addendum re Chomsky, Zionism, and Israel

Sure, the spoof letter about the Starbucks CEO funding Israel is a hoax, we all know that.

But he is certainly a big supporter of US-Israeli links, there is no dispute about that.

For some people, that is enough for them to target Starbucks.

I say: Starbucks are scum anyway, so the more people that target them, the better!
