Our Facebook profile against the proposed animal testing lab in Camden, which if built will be alongside St Pancras international had it's friend add facility closed for "adding too many friends" ....they did the same to stunning Vegan Bodybuilder Robert cheeke when he got to 2000 friends. In just afew days we had as many suppoters as SHAC. The authorities are scared of this & WANT the lab!

Please make as many profiles and pages as possible against this lab. Please put something on your pages aginst it.

There are plans to build the World's largest ever, high level [3] virus containment facility and animal testing lab on a Camden council house estate, Somers Town, alongside St Pancras International staion behind the British Library.
The lab has been criticised by MI5, MPs, councillors, residents and local businesses. The backers behind the lab plans are the MRC [the NIMR's own scientists have spoken out AGAINST the lab...], the Wellcome Trust, CRUK and the UCL.
The lab will be level 3 facility which means it could contain anthrax and bird flu. Foot and mouth disease was leaked into the water supply by similar govt Pirbright lab in Surrey. Such aleak in central London would be catastrophic. The 1918 flu pandemic was caused by amutated form of bird flu and killed 40 million people in a short space of time in the days before the Underground tube trains and the Chennel Tunnel.

Please make as many online pages as possible against this.

We didn't do anything "wrong2"on Facebook - we were doing it right....reaching hundreds of people very quickly ..and certain people didn't like this..just as the meat industry don't like stunning Vegan Bodybuilders like Robert Cheeke!

I think the reason facebook restricts mass friend adding is because of spammers. Myspace is more for networking but facebook is supposed to be to keep in touch with actual friends not 'friends'.

I've had two such requests today, and I said no to both - not because I'm against the campaign, just because I don't want loads of 'friends' on facebook who aren't in fact real people.

You do realise it's against facebook Terms of Use to create more than one profile or to make it for 'someone else'? It's also against the rules to spam, so basically if someone reports you they will just delete your profiles. Also, if you keep adding people then you are going to piss them off - if you want to add unlimited people just make a group or something, you can add as many people as you like to that, then you can also chat with each other and spam everyone's inboxes if you want (I'd rather you didn't to be honest).

There's nothing wrong with trying to get your message to lots of people but seriously, when you can make a group which will stop you having the problem of profiles being shut down and have the benefit of not annoying people, why not just do that?

Facebook and MySpace are owned by scummy corporations, so expect them to close you down just like that if they don't like what you are saying.

It's great to reach people who are already on them, but don't raise your expectations of them too high.

Treat them as a throwaway site that could be gone tomorrow.

The dude who runs the Sun tabloid here in the UK and should be prosecuted as the modern Goebbels.

Facebook is more or less the gigantic Microsoft as they've been injecting several hundred million dollars into it.

Remaining there for as long as they don't ban you is maybe not a bad idea though.

There is a growing army of people against this. The thought of getting the plague scares the shit out of me. Seen yesterday's Sun anyone? A plague bio-weapon was used against al-Qaida. Dowe we really want this thing at Kings Cross? I know I don't. I live here.
