Brighton arms company ITT-EDO MBM produce the ERU-151 (Ejector Release Unit) and ZRFAU (Zero Retention Force Arming Unit). Both are incorporated within the bomb racks used by the Israeli Air Force F16 warplanes that have been used to commit war crimes in Gaza.

These components have been advertised for several years on EDO websites as 'actively manufactured' in Brighton, and as 'used' and 'utilized' on the Israeli Air Force (IAF) F16 warplane within its main bombrack the VER-2.

On Friday Brighton and Hove City Council refused to allow the tabling of a motion by a number of councilors that would have condemned the presence of EDO MBM in Brighton and its supply of components to Israel currently being used in Gaza. The grounds for the refusal were that the motion was 'not relevant to the wellbeing of the city of Brighton and Hove'. The much acclaimed democratic process was once again tripped up at the first hurdle by those enamored by the interests of corporate capitalist murderers.

Just a few hours later six ordinary people took that democratic process into their own hands for the wellbeing of those in Gaza where governments and international law have failed to act. Every death machine smashed is justified in a world where the profits of military industrial capitalism is placed before the lives of Palestinian children.
