It was mostly young militant youth who marched in a huge group away from Trafalgar Square shouting at the top of their voices "Free, free Palestine!". They marched up Charing Cross Road and some of them threw about road works material like traffice cones and signs while they marched down the middle of the street stopping all the traffic. They then turned onto Shaftsbury Avenue where they spotted a Starbucks and tried to smash its windows in before several police came and pushed them away from the building.

i came to demonstrate this evening and was shocked by the number of police men in comparison to the number or demonstrators..
how many were there? I am pretty sure they outnumbered us 10:1

ps. I am also pissed off at seeing my tax money being wasted in such way, paying anti riot policemen to stand there and intimidate people
