boy in picture

I assume this means the kid in the photo in latest tales to tell poster...

The 14 year old boy in the ICU bed is gone. In his place is a little one, almost a baby, his chest rising and falling with the ventilator’s jerk - Abed, enlarged pupils indicating the usual explosion-caused brain injury. Dr H realises his oxygen levels are low and swiftly begins to try to clear a blockage, asking me to hand him things. “He will die,” says Dr H, “but he will not die of suffocation.”

Thermobarics

11.01.2009 16:46

The corpses without eyes could be evidence of thermobaric weapons being used.

“There was no harm to their bodies, they were still complete, but they were dead.” The grandmother’s eye ruptured during the bombing. A thermobaric weapon – stop eating before you read this – is essentially a fireball which sucks out all the oxygen in the area. Among other things it sucks out eyeballs and suffocates victims. - Jo Wilding
