2nd Lancaster Gaza Solidarity Protest Report (10th Jan)

Lancaster Palestine Solidarity | 10.01.2009 17:18

People in Lancaster held their second weekly protest for Gaza. This was more than double the size of last weeks protest.

More than 100 people turned up this week as Lancaster's movement in solidarity with the people of Palestine grows. The shopping centre's market square was filled with protesters and their banners. Many hundreds of leaflets were handed out to interested shoppers. Loads of people gave contact details for further protest actions. Activists plan a benefit fund-raising gig and also a public meeting, as well as more protests. Keep the protests up. The people of Gaza need our solidarity.

The problem at the moment is that fewer Gaza residents need your solidarity with each passing day. Now, if Hamas were to stop firing rockets indiscriminately at Israeli civilians then that sad state of affairs would probably end.
