Looking at the current situation in the world with a little support from the "plausible denial" of "fiction", its all too possible to extrapolate the "progress" of a nastier, less easy to like version of that "Catch 22" character to the present moment, with a touch of "Yes Minister" but without the humour.
Are there books out there, written or unwritten, that add solutions or "escaping the endgame" aspects to the mix.
