People chanted “bread, education and Freedom”

ok, this is an annual demonstration for the killing of the teacher in 1991 but it was not only for that. this was the first massive demonstration after christmas. people were protesting [and continue protesting every single day from 6th of December till now] against the police repression, the arrests, the killing of the student alexandros grigoropoulos, the attack with acid to the Bulgarian worker konstantina kouneva, the massacre in gaza, the lies of the fascistic greek government and the oppression of every day life.

I wasn't sure if stuff had calmed down in Greece, or if it was just harder to spot non-Gaza stories on Indy at the moment! Keep fighting comrades - otherwise we'll look silly when we get our solidarity demo together... *embarrassed cough*
