candlelit vigil for Gaza

Thursday 8th January at 7pm - Bargate, Southampton
We would like to invite all those who are concerned about the ongoing Israeli state attacks on Gaza in this current catastrophe' to ttend a Candle Lit Vigil at The Bargate on Thursday 8th January at 7pm. We plan to observe a 30-minutes silence for all dead, injured and bereaved of Gaza after bell some minor bell ringing.
Please bring candles, poems, reflections / cakes and hot drinks to share with any passersby and ourselves - this will occur after the silence and it is requeted that this is not turned into a protest.
As well as anything else you think might be appropriate in keeping with a respectful and peaceful vigil.
This event will take place whatever developments occur in the world or whatever other events occur in Southampton - diversity is not a clash it is a strength.
