"Nation shall speak peace unto Nation"

04.01.2009 21:13

This was broadcast once BBC News24 in the middle of the night a few nights ago, via a videolink of some sort. I don't know why they have just released it as audio instead of video but thanks for the link anyway, it is amazing to see any coverage of a genuine on-the-ground journalist.

I've recorded the past 24 hours of BBC coverage to analyse for bias, it will take me sometime but two previous university studies on the Iraq invasion have shown BBC bias. It is a sad fact that even Rupert Murdochs Sky News was shown to be less pro-war than the BBC.

Al Jazeera

04.01.2009 22:49

I have found from watching Al Jazeera tonight that it is quite reminiscent of the sort of tone the BBC would have taken in the 90s. It is not openly hostile to the Israelis but actually reporting THE REALITY of Palestinian suffering and Muslim anger in at least some sort of a human way. In fact, with the British presenters its English variant uses, it almost seems eerily more like the BBC than the BBC itself.

Truly we live in surreal times

They just interviewed the lovely Sharyn Lock on news 24

05.01.2009 00:50

I only caught the last few seconds but from the tone of the interviewer's voice it was clear that she was very affected by this heroic woman who has chosen to stay there while all the mainstream jouralists have fled like cowards and just reguritate all the zionist lies and propaganda from the border. it would be great if anyone who capped this could upload it somewhere.

News 24, 8pm yesterday to 8pm today

I've caught 24 hrs and any highlights I'll share here, but I never noticed any highlights so far. I know the Beeb do occasionally broadcast genuine interviews but I doubt 24 hours is enough to capture them. Maybe they they turn up on audio on the BBC website eventually, if we are lucky. If they are lucky enough to survive maybe you should organise a speaking tour upon their return.
