Gordon Brown has been accused of telling the public he asking for a ceasefire while effectively working at the United Nations to back US action in blocking one.
Craig Murray, Britain's former Ambassador to the Central Asian Republic of Uzbekistan, who helped to expose human rights abuses there is accusing Gordon Brown of 'appeasing domestic horror at the Israeli massacre in Gaza by calling for a ceasefire' while British diplomats on the United Nations Security Council are under direct instructions to offer 'tacit support' to the United States' efforts to block a ceasefire.
Mr Murray says, 'I have been told this directly by a former colleague in the UK mission to the United Nations.'
Now a writer and broadcaster, Mr Murray posted the information on his eponymously titled blog (which can be read here, Craig Murray) at 15:24GMT under the heading:Gordon Brown is a Murderous Two Faced (sic) C***.
If Craig Murray's allegations are accurate it raises serious questions as to whether Prime Minister Brown has deliberately misled the public about his actions.
