The protest is 2pm to 4pm. If people want to protest there all night then obviously that's up to them but the rampART party is obviously much later and if people want to protest and go to the party then they certainly can.

By the same token, there are genocides and massacres taking place in throughout Africa on a daily basis so perhaps we should never take the time to party. Instead we could spend all our lives protesting outside embassies or join Brian Haw for an endless stint outside parliament.

Indeed, new years eve every year is a great time for action - a nice bit of unaccountable covert direct action under the cover of fireworks and safe in the knowledge the the police are all busy elsewhere.

In fact filling the trolley or basket with lots of small items, try to pick nice items with ice cream etc at the bottom, hopefully any decent management will let staff have them free rather then spend ages putting them back.
