BOYCOTT MARKS & SPENCER!

The campaign to boycott Marks & Spencer as a symbol of British corporate support for Zionism gives the broader struggle to isolate the Israeli state a focus for action. ‘Victory to the Intifada!’ has picketed the Marks & Spencer's at Marble Arch every Thursday for the last seven years

Marks & Spencer supports Israel financially and politically, today lobbying on its behalf via the British-Israel Chamber of Commerce. The early owners of Marks & Spencer were close political allies of the leader of Zionism, Chaim Weizmann, who became the first President of Israel in 1948. Together they helped draw up the 1917 Balfour Declaration which signaled British support for a Zionist state in Palestine. In 2004 Stuart Rose became the new Chief Executive of Marks & Spencer. In December of that year he was guest of honour alongside the Israeli ambassador to Britain and the British ambassador to Israel at the annual dinner of the British-Israel Chamber of Commerce. Marks & Spencer trade with Israel now amounts to approximately £240 million every year.

I would come to this if it wasn't in support of the Intifada. Israel's actions are disgusting but Palestinians firing rockets into Israel is on a smaller scale also sick. Get some perspective.

Nice work Ruby. Why don't those Palestinians defy history and adopt pacifism as they sit in their beseiged ghetto, being starved out of the refugee camps they've been in for 60 years? The fact that most Gazans have never committed violence against an Israeli probably escaped you......

describing the situation. I have found this a vsuccessful non violent legal tactic. In fact filling the trolley or basket with lots of small items, try to pick nice items as hopefully any decent management will let staff have them free rather then spend ages putting them back. Isreal does about 240 millions worth of trade annually with Isreal& its CEO's have been key in political lobbying for Isreals illegal acts.

I was shopping once for some arts equipment,unfortunately the red paint spilt

out on the way home in another shop,it was one of those nig plastic squeueggy bottles they sell at art shops, wouldnt it be terrible if this happened at M & S as well especially on some of their so expensive luxury clothing or furniture-bedding;)

I wouldnt bother in the electrical department it will be more buzzing.
Until we get direct democracy this is necessary& legitimate,the british state on the UN security council opposes Isreals criminal actions as do the people of Britain & all other countries on security council except the US.
M&S CEOs are corrupting politics & aiding genocide explicitly, they need to let people come to a truelly democratic agreement. Isreal & Hamas both need to put down their weapons down& listen to the voices of peace. Isreal has been the instigator so they should go first, apartheid maker etc, yes Jews have been victimised globally but this does not give them the right to commit mass murder. If this doesnt happen soon, yes a international non partisan force should be sent in to stop the violence, Isreal is a genocidal terror state out of control.
Reminder 100 palestinians for every Isreali, under apartheid blockaded in probably the most crowded place on earth,
