At 2pm today more Greek solidarity actions were carried out by Newcastle anarchists. Approximately 70 leaflets were handed out outlining the situation in Greece, and then from the roof of Eldon Square shopping centre in the very centre of Newcastle a banner was dropped reading 'Solidarity For Greek Protests!'.

If the Greek state carries on with its system of brutality then resistance will continue. This was just one of hundreds of solidarity actions taking place throughout the world.

We haven't got the numbers to do it like the Greeks but "every little helps" as the midge said when it pissed in the ocean. This is a good start though, maybe a good working class city like Newcastle will be the first to kick off like Athens in the recession. "Burn doon the Toon"!!!
