Nottingham Trent University backs down in dispute

According to the University and Colleges Union (UCU) website, Nottingham Trent University (NTU) management have backed down in their bid to derecognise the trade union and cut back on reps' facility time. This is good news for workers at the uni.

Following proposals to drastically alter the way unionised staff would be represented at NTU, UCU carried out a one day strike and greylisted the university. The measures appear to have worked as the management appear to have relented to the union's demands. For more detailed information check out the union's website:
