massive riots at NO2ID demo in leeds!
well almost.

Well no riots in fact, when we turned up their was no one their, me and a friend turned up about 15 minutes late, and their was no one there, another bloke informed us he made the same error and had arrived as people where leaving.
I don't know how many where at the demo, but i think that it is ridicules that the day before ID cards are introduced their weren't masses of people there.
I was recently at a meeting amongst around 30-40 activists, and their where 5 people who still would attend a legal demo...
times are getting crazy, and this is not a dig at the people who held the demo, at least they turned up, and turned up on time. its just a reminder that this country is going to the shit house, faster than we like to admit.
The government is clever, by introducing ID cards group by group they minimize the risk of people standing up to them.
I don't know what the answer is, nor do i advocate anything. I just want people to start talking about solutions. Because like it or not it is pretty much illegal to protest now, we have no rights, and repression is the norm.
Discuss.
