The local Brighton rag yesterday announced after Freedom of Information requests that over £80,000 has been spent on policing SmashEDO in the past year, of which over £50,000 was spend on the 'Shut ITT' demo alone. Laughable isn't it?

The article is typical of the Argus, conservative and accusing the demonstrators of starting riots on both occasions, without mentioning too much the police repression.

Smash EDO were available to comment, however the Argus only attempted to contact the campaign once.
