YouTube Allstars: Even Che Guevera joins in!

For weeks, American Katy Perry dominated the top of the German hit charts with "I Kissed A Girl," and thousands of her fans have already copied the 24 year-old's music on the Internet. There have been 30 million clicks alone to YouTube and the list of fans gets longer by the day.

(TNN) This has inspired a completely new idea from a German filmmaker. Under the label "Youtube-Allstars," the 28 year-old author and creative event organizer, M. Bryan, arranged a compilation which consists primarily of unique, totally original videos from the Katy Perry fan community. Internet users of many different origins and nationalities were called on to sing Katy Perry's number 1 hit, "I Kissed a Girl" and film the performance. Even a singing Che Guevara responded and got in on the action.

Some of the candidates sing even better live than the original version and, according to the British-German creator who currently works on films in Cologne, many were sent "completely uncensored." Out of interest in a snapshot that mirrors contemporary global youth culture, he put it all together in one night and then put it on the Internet.
