Yesterday, students at the students union agm voted to support a motion to withdraw support for all military funded bodies.
During the debate two students opposing the motion stated that "the whole room are hippies" and that racism, sexism and homophobia were endemic in "the uneducated" element of the population that the armed forces recruit from. The students were angrily shouted down by the meeting.
The vote means that the student population has banned the miltary from any student union events including recruiting at freshers fair.
The students from sussex express their solidarity to all the groups campaigning against the military on campuses.
