Interviews to be held the week beginning Monday, 24th November
Olive Co-operative is seeking to recruit two people to join our small
team. The successful candidates will have skills and experience
relating to at least two of the following areas: sales, product
development, marketing and promotion, tours development, web page
maintenance, finance, managing volunteers and co-operative management. The
work of the co-operative will be divided between the existing
members of the team and new employees in accordance with the skills and
experience of the successful candidates. New employees will be eligible
for membership of the co-operative after six months.
Olive Co-op is a small social enterprise based in Manchester which sells
fairly traded Palestinian products such as olive oil and
handicrafts, and organises educational tours to Palestine and Israel. We
have a small office/shop located in the Merci building, 15 minutes walk
North East of Manchester Piccadilly station. The building is
wheelchair accessible. We will welcome applications from people based
outside of Manchester
Like any small, self-financing, social enterprise, Olive Co-operative can
offer challenges, rewards, and flexibility.
We are currently able to pay £6 per hour, with a review in the new year.
It is anticipated that the hours worked will be between 8 and 16 per week.
One position is maternity cover, although it is likely that it will
continue as a permanent position.
