The Destroyed Reputation of The United States Federal Government

The United States Federal Government started destroying it’s reputation decades ago. Property confiscation and forced development because of taxes is "the norm" in the United States. It does not matter how long the property has been owned or who owns it, if you do not pay the government for it’s "new" taxable value, you will have it confiscated. I have watched as many people who have lived on their property for decades and even generations, have it stolen by the United States Federal Government.
So you buy a piece of property in the woods to try and get away from it all. You watch as your neighbors leave, and then the new owners build a "McMansion". You watch your property taxes keep going up and up. Then you default on your taxes because your life does not revolve around money or credit and you do not want it to. It is mostly old people on fixed incomes or young families who are forced to move because of the "new improved" and taxable value of their land…
I feel this property confiscation for taxes, taxes, and then next year more taxes ; has disenfranchised 50 (plus) million people in the United States from ever supporting the United States Federal Government willingly. (Add the drug war, and I feel it is over 100 million.).
The United States Federal Government started destroying it’s reputation decades ago. Property confiscation due to the "drug war" and the threat of "marijuana" is the "norm" in the United States. It does not matter where your property came from or how long you have had it, if you are caught with "drugs" (non-prescription) and enough of them; the United States Federal Government will confiscate your land. I wish they would do it for miss-used, and illegal prescription drugs; maybe then stealing your home would be "wrong".
((I feel we should widen the drug war and IRS property confiscation abilities to include all homes that have alcohol, drugs (prescription, legal or "illegal" ), and guns available to their children. We could just ask all the kids in little grey rooms at school; if mommy and daddy have alcohol, drugs, guns, or piles of money!! Then we get em. Oh - wait, right; that would be bad,,,, wouldn’t it? The prison business would be booming!! Down with irresponsibility! Arrest the no good parents of children! Get em, get em, get em…! … - For those of you that do not understand; That was irresponsible satire, - not a calling for fascism).)
The United States Federal Government has destroyed it’s reputation and moral standing just recently, with: Torture; Illegal Imprisonment; WAR; Another WAR; The "Terrorist Alien Drug" - War ; Domestic Spying ; Security and Stock Market Fraud: And All with, A Court Appointed President in office. (The "drug" war and the "terrorist" war; are wars on freedom: And you, America ; are losing. The number of people and families in the United States that have been criminalized and disenfranchised, will be your down-fall because in the end any "freedom fighting patriot", will be the criminalized terrorist, that fought your wars for freedom - for you - already).
When I bought property in the United States in1980, any equity loan from the property had to be used on the property. In the last thirty years, trillions upon trillions of dollars in equity money - on debt - has been used to buy more property, invest in securities, or buy consumer goods. This idea and economic model is like lending money to a friend you trust, who lends it to another friend he trusts, who lends it to another friend he trusts; each one promising to pay back more. (oops)!
Mutual funds have become the "net buyers" and supply and demand "controllers" in the United States securities markets. (Until recently, many "fund guys" were flying in private corporate planes, until they just couldn’t keep the money train going. Mutual funds are now the "net sellers" correcting the market. With the continued depreciation of over-valued real estate, investors (debtors) will continue to withdraw their investment to pay the debt the investment was made with. I feel the margin call on debt invested in the securities markets will continue through 2009.).
The United States Federal Governments stance; - that you are either with us, or against us; - is the Fascism that will kill it. Let the United States Federal Government keep confiscating property for taxes, keep confiscating property for drugs, keep confiscating property because you can; it is destroying the United States Federal Government. People in the USA support taxes and services; but it should be very clear, collect them with out making anyone a criminal. A drug user is not a criminal, whether it is prescription pills, illegal drugs, or "marijuana". A "property owner" who does not pay his taxes, is not a criminal. Collect your damn taxes when the property is sold or the person dies, but to take their home from them is one of the worst things I can imagine one human being doing to another. To "criminalize" people because of drug abuse problems, or non-support of the United States Federal Government taxes, - and confiscating their property for taxes or drugs; is no different than torture or illegal imprisonment. (And it is "normal" in the USA. I do not find United States nationalism any different than religion; What are you - a Muslim or a Christian or a Jew? Do you have your papers??? The USA practices "nationalism" and "patriotism" more like hunting seasons and whether or not you have your killing license. What does the mass media say? Muslim are in season, Jews in the fall, and Christians all summer long. (Please pet the Buddha’s tummy.).)
The United States Federal Government is keeping containment of it’s power and it’s "cash cow"; your home. You will have no choice on what the Federal Governments "tax" money goes for, but you will keep paying it. The "ownership" of your home is the only thing the Federal Government of the United States has in it’s power, and it is no longer a power or confiscation threat; the Federal Government owns your home. (No need for a warrant now, it is their house and they own it. Not to say that the need for a warrant has stopped illegal domestic spying, it is just "supposed" to.)..).
Be as concerned as you like about the election, but it means diddly, when it comes to the United States economy and affordable housing; until the United States people can afford a home at 10% down and 60% of disposable income per month as payment; housing will fall.
Do you think the US Presidential election is going to change this? NOPE, only property depreciation and money will (reality).
Vote all you want; but you vote with your money; and if you do not know that, please learn.
