Lie on The Russian Indy

Creperum | 27.10.2008 18:16 | Social Struggles

A fake of pseudo-anarchists in Russia.

Olga Rukosyl wasn't killed in Russia. Because there wasn't such a girl.
This was a fake of a pair of liars-pseudoanarchists. You shouldn't hold any actions in her memory.

Olga Rukosyla http://chtodelat.wordpress.com/2008/10/17/rukosyla/

Can someone translate this source page, it doesnt seem to mention anything about her when I put it into altavista babelfish translator.
Indymedia & a jewish human rights organisation mention Olga in reports wth long descriptions & photos & its a 100%fact 100s of people are being murdered by nazis in Russia every year.
"in any particular city there aren’t so many Nazis. That means their acquaintances killed Olga. And it was those same acquaintances, and, perhaps, Boomer and Def themselves, who killed Ilya Borodaenko during the attack on the ecological camp near Angarsk in July 2007."

In 2004 a nine-year old Tajik girl has been stabbed to death in the Russian city of St Petersburg by suspected skinheads.
Nothing has been mentioned on mainstream news here or in Russia, we need to double check & make sure justice is done, crazy when you think most Russians are related to the mongols

Nothing about fascist murder in Russia on BBC since a minor story in June.

Putin made strong statements against murder in 2006 victory parade against nazis, but Amnesty International & other human rights bodies say Russia is increasingly ignoring nazi murders&
"Putin’s father fought for Nazis as a double agent "In 2003, Polish media reported that KGB defector Victor Suvorov (Vladimir Rizun) found documents in the UK proving Putins father was a ex KGB agent who fought for the Nazi Russian General Vaslov.

Antifascist

can you give us some more details?

29.10.2008 00:43

You can't expect us to believe what you say without some more detailed information.

Who is the girl in the pictures, if it isn't who is claimed?

Who are the people you say made up this story, and what is their motivation for doing so?

Why would someone claim someone was killed when they weren't?

In the view of that in foreign countries and cities in Russia are continued actions of memory Ol’gy Rukosyly, mind it is needed to notice that nobody has given us any conclusive evidence about existence and death of this girl. We ask not to realize actions of memory and excuse us for so long quiet on this term.

seems to have been reported on jewish.ru originally?

30.10.2008 21:34

Some reports I read say the news was on jewish.ru on October 17 originally. I don't read Russian so I can't verify this - can anyone find the original link on jewish.ru?

Could a motivation for people denying it happened be anti-semitism? Nazis are fond of historical revisionism!

I can't think of why anyone would say it happened when it didn't.

very strange.

contradictions

quick search on russian websites led me to the following: there seems to have been an (one) article in "East-Siberian Pravda" newspaper, saying they tried to verify the story and failed: Police didn't registrate such an event and declare that according to their information it simply did not happen. Inquiry at hospitals also did not bring information about such an incident. And finally in Irkutsk there is nobody registrated with name of Rukosyla. In this article (but only there) they write also that they tried to contact local antifascists, and they declared, it DID happen and police try to conceal the whole thing because this girl was related with some senior police officer. Yet, there are not so many of them and no one has the name of Rukosyla.

Then I found a lot of articles referring to this first one. They were mostly Russian-nationalist, on nearly every one of them I saw some propaganda for the upcoming "Russian marches" on November 4 (national holiday, introduced by Putin in order to replace November 7, when the October revolution used to be celebrated). In some blogs they speculated that "Rukosyla" should be a Ukrainian name, so it be a propaganda lie to tell Ukrainians that a Ukrainian girl was murdered in Russia, and to have a pretext to ban the "Russian marches" in Ukraine. (There seems to have been a recent case in Ukraine, where a Russian girl named Anna was murdered, and they are talking about somebody's wish to "neutralize" this "Anna" case with the "Olga" fake.) Others translate the name literally to English, then it's "Armstrong" and they construct another conspiracy theory with Terry Pratchett stories which I don't know.

So what do we have? Principally two contradicting stories which we cannot verify at first hand - who knows if even this East-Siberian Pravda exists?!? I try to establish some connection to Irkutsk anarchists but I'm afraid even when I succeed the result will be just another rumour.

Apart from that, I would be very glad to hear that at least this girl on the photos was NOT murdered. There have been so many confirmed murders in Russia where there is no doubt at all, like only recently this Moscow SHARP Fedyay Filatov...

By the way, if the news was on some site on October 17, it was not the original source, because here:  http://ru.indymedia.org/newswire/display/21038/index.php you have an article on Russian indymedia already from October 16. At least THIS ONE you can verify yourself.

Finally, let me mention that I'm not Russian, so maybe I made some mistakes in my translations (and I did not get the point in the "Armstrong" version of the story) and if you find them, feel free to add corrections.

another version

02.11.2008 19:01

just found another version of the story when I checked the material from last night: One site (rus-obr.ru) claims they spoke to some environmentalist (a rather lefty one) from Irkutsk who checked the case for them, and he said: This girl existed, and she was murdered, police is investigating the case and arrested one person. But he denied any political background, Olga being no punk at all but something like gothic or emo, and the arrested guy just a very drunk thug, not even short-haired. But he also alleges that there is no nazi scene in Irkutsk, it be a very new phenomenon with just a handful of members.

Now there's three points about this one: Of course there are nazis in Irkutsk, last summer they attacked this eco-camp in Angarsk and killed Ilya Borodayenko (funny that an environment activist should not know that). Second, for punks there might be a big difference between a punk and an emo, yet for any nazi on the streets it's nothing. And third, it's so common that police call any arrested violent fascist a drunk thug without any political background, even when he's tattooed with swastikas from the neck to the ankles and has his whole flat full of nazi propaganda material.

In a nutshell: if you ask me what you should think about this, I don't have a clue.
