Trident Ploughshares | 27.10.2008 08:59 | Anti-militarism | Oxford | South Coast

Several if not all gates plus A340 currently being blockaded, with protesters attached together with superglue, arm tubes and concrete lock ons, and there's a tripod blockade on the A340 north of Home Office gate. Mounted police deployed.

Several hundred protesters thought to be in attendance, from as far afield as Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, Norway, Scotland, Wales, Bradford and Plymouth.

Well thanks for once again giving us lots of advance notice of your demo so we could all prepare for it and ensure we were not delayed in any way.

Some of us have to get back to work now providing the security of the United Kingdom for people like you to have the freedom to enjoy your yearly lifestyle demo.

Don't forget to keep telling one another that you are making a difference. :-)

Funny how the police knew it was happening, and yet you did not. The AWE management also knew perefectly well what was going to happen. Maybe, rather than hurl infantile insults at people with whom you disagree, you should ask your bosses why they didn't bother to tell you what was going on. But then again, maybe you are not as valuable to your bosses as you would like to imagine. Maybe you would be better off working for people who actually valued your contribution, doing something that was of actual benefit to humanity.

Think again...

Debate is better than censorship

I notice that the comment to which I responded has been removed.

It is not better to engage with such folk rather then censor them? He or she appears to work at AWE or nearby, and were voicing their opinion, however unwelcome it may be. Now, it would seem, I too will be deprived of an opportunity to contribute. Ho hum!

Think again...
