WASHINGTON, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- U.S. President George W. Bush on Friday signed documents to demonstrate American support for NATO membership for Albania and Croatia.
"Albania and Croatia's entry into NATO is an historic step for the Balkans," Bush said at a White House ceremony to sign the NATO agreements.

Croatian forces are set to join the Natomilitary alliance
George Bush, the US president, has signed a Nato agreement that put Albania and Croatia a step closer to joining the military alliance.
Nato members agreed at a summit in Bucharest in April to invite Albania and Croatia to join the alliance and the Balkan states will be eligible when all 26 Nato members ratify their accession.
