50 Years of CND - Peacemakers reunion gig...
Merseyside CND | 24.10.2008 00:00 | Anti-militarism | Culture | Liverpool
Merseyside CND's very own big band the 'Peacemakers' make a return with their premier English folk/worldbeat. Jigs, reels, ska grooves, afrobeat horns.
CND's been here for fifty years and it's needed "Now more than ever".
On Saturday 1st November at The Casa, Hope Street you can hear Merseyside CND's big beat band reformed and playing a one off gig. Additionally we have support from musicians and poets who performed at the second Peace and Ecology Festival in July at St.Lukes Church.
Support acts:
Bella Kazoo (Stuart Todd's new band)
Tony Kehoe
Poets - Wes Burns and Peter Crompton
You'll be most welcome to spend an evening enjoying some of the best musicians and poets in Liverpool, for the modest price of £3 waged and £2 unwaged. All profits go to Merseyside CND.
