We should consider ourselves lucky to live in a society where abortions are legal, available, and of decent medical standards- and should protect those rights while we can.
"keep your rosaries off my ovaries"
Shouldn't embryonic humans / foetuses have rights too?

Excuse my ignorance, but are there not many childless couples out there who would love to adopt an 'unwanted baby'?
In these enlightened times, I look forward to the day when 'pro-choicers' get a law allowing mothers to smother their offspring at birth. It's their baby after all, and far better than abandoning them on the street. Hurrah for democracy.

That is not a reason to force someone to have an unwanted baby. Besides, if they're that fucking loving, why aren't they adopting those kids out there who really need a home? That's right, because they wouldn't get a cute little baby to show their friends. God forbid you guys have to start behaving a bit more like Jesus and a bit less like Paul.

And I look forward to the day when bullshit 'slippery slope' claims actually pass for a reasoned argument. Unfortunately, that day is not today. Next time you come up with something witty like that, you might want to check that it can't be turned around against you. How about we let 'pro-lifers' start having teenage boys arrested for genocide on the basis that every sperm was a potential life. Hurrah for Christianity.

I agree. Stupidity should always be exposed and countered.

It was only "alleged" until you opened your mouth. Seriously, you might as well have signed off with "I'm not a racist, but..." because you're basically saying "I don't want to have to defend my position against any critical analysis, I just want to be able to tell you all that I'm right and you're wrong."
