Upcoming conference:

Christian Faith in a world of climate change
Castle Street Methodist Church
25th October

With much of the basic knowledge about climate change and its causes now widely accepted, Christian Faith in a World of Climate Change is a one-day conference that aims to take the issues one step further within a context of Christian belief and reflection.

The conference aims to stimulate thought on the Christian response to the enormous and complex challenges presented by climate change and will also provide learning opportunities on a range of practical and theoretical issues through presentations and workshops.

Most people attending this event will accept that Christians need to take the issues of climate change seriously and work energetically for greenhouse gas reduction and assistance to those most affected by climate change. Many people will also have already tried, with greater or lesser success, to make the limited changes to individual lifestyle possible in our heavily industrialised society. However, there will also be opportunities within the day for those wanting to ask more general questions or catch up on current understanding of the topic.

Although this event is geared towards people of Christian faith and commitment, we aim to involve a wide range of participants and those of other faiths or none are welcome to attend.
