Sunday 5th October sees the first monthly Peace Procession (next one on 2nd Nov). It will be a gathering of peaceful people of all faiths and none. It is also the first launch of a worldwide Peace Petition. All are welcome.
WHERE: Starts at Westminster Cathedral piazza. On to WestminsterAbbey, the Methodist Central Hall then to Parliament Square for a group photo with first petition. Next, on to Downing Street for presentation of petition, followed by procession through Trafalgar Square to a final vigil at the Edith Cavell Statue just above St Martin's In The Fields Church.
TIMES: Sunday 5th October Meet at 1.30 for 2pm departure from Westminster Cathedral. Then 3-3.30pm outside Downing Street. Then on up to Trafalgar Square
WHY: This first petition calls for an urgent real Peace Plan for the Middle East. The wording of the future worldwide petition is being designed by conscensus with groups and individuals from all round the world.
WHO: This procession and petition is being organised by Maria Gallestegui of Peace Strike (peacestrike.org.uk) and Parliament Square Peace Camp (parliament-Square.org.uk)
Next Peace Procession on 2nd November
