SHAC leaders on trial to answer politically motivated charges of blackmail.

Eight commited actavists are currently on trial in Winchester facing charges of blackmail - three have already pleaded guilty in the face of the threat of 14 year terms.

Leaders?

Would I be right to say that no one in Shac has ever considered themselves 'leaders' and they were simply key campaingers in a global struggle which continues without them. 'Leaders' was something tagged onto them by the media and the courts.

It's good to see this - in the context of my prisoner support work I know these folk and have been supporting one of them particularly - I hope many people will get into action and stand beside these courageous and dedicated people
